Later in 2013, he signed a deal with the Penguins for 8-years. He was voted as the starter in the 2010-11 season and was called for the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh in North Carolina. He finished the season with a career-high of 50 points and was the 2nd highest scorer for Penguins beside Sidney.
