“It’s up,” he captioned the clip, indicating how proud he is of his progress after a decade of practice.

Many of Wayne’s musical peers saluted the New Orleans icon on his continued improvement on a skateboard, such as E-40, Ty Dolla $ign and Jacquees.

Professional skater Nik Tucker even chimed in by imploring Wayne to launch a Young Money skating team.

In December, Lil Wayne was surprised to receive his first-ever pro-model skateboard, signifying his amateur status would be no more.

Phil Lopez, who serves as the videographer for Young Money Skate, wanted to celebrate Wayne’s hard work over the years and gifted him a pro model board decorated with a photo of the rapper as a child along with some of Weezy’s favorite rap lyrics.

“This was a Christmas gift, but I decided to turn it into a surprise because it would be more meaningful that way,” Lopez said. “As Wayne’s videographer, I wanted to do something special for him that he’d remember. I approached Torey, owner of Thank You Skate Co., with the board design, and he was able to help execute the production process.”

In a video of the moment, Wayne can be seen shocked by the gift, and sits on the floor of the skatepark with a massive smile on his face while he’s flooded with his custom boards. He was nearly speechless as he walked around and thanked everyone for their generosity.
